Childhood Memories Poem by Maria C. Pires Costa

Childhood Memories

This blackberry treat today
Made me promptly journey
Down the memory lane far away...

Summer mornings walks
To the orchard redolent of fruits
Whose natural flavor
Delighted our senses.
How we genuinely entertained ourselves
Climbing those trees and wild bushes
In a perfect festive harvest!

Mom and Dad tenderly gazed at
Their kids playing safely.
One breathed pure fresh air
Feeling it by then
And still resonating nowadays
Our parents' intense love and care.
