Checklist, Done And Done Poem by Susan Lacovara

Checklist, Done And Done

Rating: 5.0

No time to dabble, in the lazy, today,
Polevaulting what obstacles, lead me astray
Much to accomplish, the chalkboard declares
For one, on a mission, one who prepares...

Table littered with crib notes, scribbled insights
Of manageable madness, endless rewrites...
Scooping the scattered, heap piles..into files
Checklist, done and done...these marathon miles

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
(11/05/13) with another unseen stone in the road, I gather myself, as not to stumble...and move ahead...with renewed focus.

It IS a marathon isn't it! Staying focused and true to one's ultimate goal... just finishing isn't enough. I enjoyed this pen immensely... Thank you!

Life is often a Marathon race with boulders lying on the way and greater hurdles blocking the onward movement! Some we have to jump over. Some need to be polevaulted! But stay focussed and run the race! Beautiful! !
