Change Poem by Daniel Kyle

Change

I smoke, I snort,
I pop, I drink.
I kiss, I nibble,
I lick, I stick.

I spit, I cuss,
I lay, I fuss.
I'm bad, I'm sad,
I'm glad, I'm mad.

I've been like this for too long,
Doing everything far too wrong.
I need to be strong,
And not tag along.

I must make my own road,
Living by my own code.
I don't care if it explodes,
I will get up and reload.

The say I am strange,
I am already deranged.
My life needs rearranged,
I know that I need to change.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this poem when I was in a really dark place of my life. I was doing bad things, and I knew I needed to change. I wanted to. It just took me a long time before I actually did.
