it seemed like only yesterday
i would wander thru the tundra
or trample thru the snow
occasionally climbing a tree to take a nap
calling out to a friend
and engage in mind-altering chats
remembering
how it use to be
for me
in chandler park
with its trees so tall
and its grass so green
where people could always stroll
and embrace the pleasant of being
within themselves
not on some one else's shelf
remembering
