Crack In My Back Poem by Talile Ali

Crack In My Back

In the morning I'm whacked
Feeling like I'm attacked
Someone give me a gun
I'm a boy on the run

In the haze of this day
Seems to feel quite OK
Dancing here on the floor
Avoiding all of the Christmas gore

It's a crack in my back
All the things I do lack
trying to get some more
while walking out the front door

It's the smell of decay
As the world turns away
why do we all ignore
All we should all abhor

In the night of the day
Lies just don't drift away
From the hurt and the pain
As the souls twist and drain

All the hate and the fear
These aren't crocodile tears
falling down just like rain
some much lost is not gain

Jump around and excite
Things are never just right
Till you lift up and spin
In a world full of sin

It's a crack in my back
All the things I do lack
trying to get some more
while walking out the front door

It's the smell of bright light
As the world turns into fright
why do we all ignore
All we should just adore

Help me to find my home
I don't want to be alone
I just wanna be sure
Help me please find the cure

For this crack in my back
