Caprice Poem by Annie Ali

Caprice

A dreary start of an ordinary day
What fantastic feelings it can sway
Some humdrum of the routine work
A hookup from the pending montage
An unfinished poem from the previous day
A little unamusing fanciless jargon
finding its imaginative ground to play
A star that shown on last nights sky
deseasing its image on consecious array
A song born in the festival of skies
stammering its lyrics on the euphonys bay
A dream was lying tideous on the pane of my window
A reverie resting on the shrub not far away
I left my room in haste to meet up the demands of the day
Startled on doorway halted and turned back
proceeded towards the window opened it wide
May a soulful reverie and a tideous dream find their way
