Canines Poem by Dellas Chitekwe

Canines

Rating: 5.0

We got rid of an old terrier
Because it was toothless
And could no longer hunt vermin.

Now we have a vicious rotweiler
This one has razor sharp teeth
But cannot hunt.

To make matters worse:
The beast prefers the choicest meat,
So to satisfy its carnivorous appetite
It now preys on us.

Now we know better
Than to get rid of an old dog
Just because it is toothless
And can no longer hunt.
