Candore Poem by lily diamond

Candore

Rating: 5.0

He had me at first 'hello',
deadly engrossing
In that dilated-pupil kind of way
He moved like he is running out of time,
he was a thirst I could not quench
An addiction i can not forget,
he tasted delicious,
but I still knew
he was artificial
and
slowly
killing
me off.
I hoped he will leave
After my first 'goodbye'
but,
He continued to
follow
the white circle
of my empty life.
