Candles In The Dark Poem by Midnight Clarity

Candles In The Dark

words surged. They carried me so far,
so deep into the dark I thought I broke
just shattered on the rocks, sea salted,
like my tears
but love was there to catch me
wrap me in kind words from virtual friends
and real life strangers it glowed and shimmered
down the phone lines, wanna dance? Yes please,
of course! I can't remember what was said
beyond a huge resounding YES
that swung me from crest to crest
and pushed back darkness
making room for all your lovely
candles in the dark
filling in the spaces left by moonlight, by the stars,
shining strong and showing me
the arms outstretched to catch me in my fear
my dark alone time where you can't walk for me
but are willing to match my steps, support me on the way
until my path turns misty and I leave you
to love life and shine your candles in the dark
to bring a weary soul to rest.

Hope your path won't turn misty just yet! Nice poem.
