Candle's Words Poem by Elis Mita

Candle's Words

Rating: 5.0

Between you all, always I stayed.
Being ready to burn everywhere.
Present when you all prayed.
Every moment I was there.

For the joy o' birthday o'er a pie.
Fighting alone the entire dark.
Burning mysel' to make you write;
A letter to the love far.

Sacrificating fo' thou, each other to see.
To drink, to love, to eat and to be.
Centuries, persons and what I saw.
Everythin' happen'd in whole world.

And when you'll see, in the finish me
Thinking that I'm might died.
I'll be there for you all to see.
To give my light, I'm alive...

Beautiful imagery, using the candle as your spirit, fascinating poem, enjoyed it immensely, Elis! ! So explicit and exacting every verse the candle is flickering in my mind! Beautifully written and enlightening. Adding it to my favorite poem list. Give it a 10! If you don't mind I am going to add you to my poet and friend's list. Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
