Can You Hear? Can You Feel? Poem by Kasia Fedyk

Can You Hear? Can You Feel?

Rating: 3.6

I held my tears
in my palms
I saw the light as they
swam from my skin
and dropped down
unto the ground

Have you heard
what they said
a story they told
of an old man
with a broken heart
and a halo above his head
he walked endlessly just to find
the peace within
have you seen him
have you felt his pain
with his heart so pure
still trembling, shaking
resembling an earthquake
what will he find?

Like the wind upon
the valleys
swaying to bring new air
a new life
to the old

What is old
there is no age
to your soul
or is there?

So nice poem. A great mind thinks great. Very profound and philosophical subject-matter, Kasia.

A great rhetorical question at the end. Who knows? A powerful imagination and emotion in the first stanza. Like it.
