Can'T See My Princess For The Trees Poem by Ted Sheridan

Can'T See My Princess For The Trees

Rating: 3.7

I was thinking about trees....
Spending their entire lives in one place
Totally dependent upon the elements
For their betterment or to their detriment....
Trees always have visitors.....
Wanted and Unwanted
If not birds then it’s the monkeys or bears
Maybe a panther or a sloth....
A tree can't ask them to leave
Or say who can stay and who should go....
Trees are stuck with what they've got
For crying out loud they don't even have sex
The whole cross pollination thing
Just doesn't seem to cut it....
I was thinking about trees....
And decided.....
How lucky I am to be a well hung frog....

The creme a la Sheridan, with fricasseed frogs legs. You have heard of tree frogs haven't you Ted? The little buggers sing gloriously in the evenings - but not without the trees...

A well hung not-a-frog. Are you/ she just demanding a thousand kisses or something? (isn't that the saying) ? t x
