Can'T Face The Silence Poem by Vincent Topp

Can'T Face The Silence

Silence is deafening, ,
When it’s all that’s left to take in
I know this to be true.
Insanity and paranoia breed,
As the walls move closer and closer in,
I couldn’t face that silence again.
I can understand why TV and Radio,
Become surrogate friends to some people,
I’ve been there.

Time to kill, but you can’t murder it,
Like ‘Tom and Jerry’
It stands up, dusts itself down, and continues;
I couldn’t face that silence again.

If you open a window,
You know you’ll hear the others living their lives.
While someone is sleeping, somebody is dying,
Someone else is living life to the full;
But that’s not what I want to know.

Suffocating silence,
Talking to myself,
Can’t face the silence anymore.
