Behind The Cliches Poem by Vincent Topp

Behind The Cliches

We are not good enough to be the heroes or the villains
We are the jokes, not the jokers
We are the stupidity to their genius.

We who are different are the same
We are the back to the drawing board brigade
We are the toothless smiles
We are the nothing in all for
We are the punished not the praised.

We are the ear to ear frown
We are the messages never found in the bottle
We are the straight man to the comedian
We are the audience of one.

We are the silent sighs of disappointment
We spin our own spheres
We are on the outside looking in
We are social in our anti-social ways
We are the people behind the clichés.
