Campfire Poem by Jacquelyn Gagnon

Campfire

i was sharpening a knife
i could of took a life
yes that life would be mine
i'm not gonna lie
i rather not die
but that look in your eyes
and each troubled sigh
makes me ask why
its always the love
that causes the blood
to be my desire
staring into the fire
