Caged Poem by Tina MacAdam

Caged

Haul me awy in shackles. Lock me in a cage
Its probably the safest place, considering all my rage
Anger takes over, Words are spoken out of hate
Sometimes it can be controlled, Sometimes it is simply just too late

Haul me away in shackles, Lock me in cage
Every time a new feeling, Every time a new page
Sometimes I think this might be for the best
I will never fill the bleeding hole in my chest

Haul me away in shackles, Lock me in a cage
This is probably the safest place, Considering my rage
Throw away the key and leave me there to die
As you walk away, you will never hear me cry
