Brunette Sunset Ii Poem by William Cavanagh

Brunette Sunset Ii

Seeking solace from a heated holiday
Where young and seasoned come-forth to play
Tactically poised below the willow tree
The margaritas begot a twist of liberty

My brown eyed angel free and fair
You surrender beneath my whiskered strength
I feast upon your buffed body’s length
Ample, burnished-tanned and debonair

The beaches be a shopper’s paradise
But I have perceived and planned my prize
Our secret rendezvous’ now do compile
As I’m a sucker for your dimpled smile

Here we be again my choice brunette
As brooding clouds do stare in jest
Unable to deny our loving quest
Beneath a cache of willow-shaded sunset
