Broken Wings Of A Blackbird Poem by Tiffany Rose Moczydlowski

Broken Wings Of A Blackbird

Rating: 5.0

Fragile an broken
Unwilling to trust
Exposed an weakened
Yet for more lusts

Retreats into shelter
Finally at peace
A gentle word coaxes
Stemmed not from sympathy

Hesitant, steps out
Caution warns
Gazes at you
So forlorn

Desires to dart away
Allows tender hands to hold
Winces at contact
But discovers wounds are old

Moon waxes and wanes
A bond is formed
Broken wings heal
A new wish storms

Prepares to try
Feeling tentative
Out of practice
With skills instinctive

Wings outstretched
Discards fear
Soars through doubts
Yearns for here

Remembers your nocturne
A new talent taught
Flies and returns
To sing for you a song
