Broken Poem by Ron Pate

Broken

When love leaves our heart, the light glimmering inside fades and soon dies.

No words can console or extinguish the pain felt at that moment.

We look at the stars searching for clues to undo what chaos we have created. Reach out and feel with you beating heart and wander what became of the love I felt?

The lonely heart prys for attention, while the strong heart shys away from temptation. Bonds held by vows spoken, wind up broken by the weak hearts malcontent....

We travel so hard and fast, each and everyday our lips forget to say the words, that just maybe would have saved the heart one more day.

Eyes lose the stars and the love leaves, and there're we have a broken heart...
