Brick Walls Poem by Travis Casey

Brick Walls

Brick Walls
Poem

Brick walls can stand tall.
My brick walls have stood too long. Oh, how I wish to topple them!
If you keep knocking on a brick wall, it will not fall.
Brick walls of ignorance may stand tall, but I refuse to let them wall me in without a fight.
I often stand before walls that seem so tall, wishing I could knock them down. I am not alone, I imagine.
Brick walls blocking my path.
Brick walls stand tall — it would be grand If they would tumble down. I want to break free — be set loose to run wild.
They can't take away my voice, so I'll scream and tell my story. If others want to hear it, let them.
Brick walls can seem like the end, but with the right encouragement, you can break each one down and step through freedom.
Brick walls may stand tall, but they can be brought down.
