Body And Soul Poem by PREM SAGAR

Body And Soul

Rating: 5.0

Immortal is the soul, man possesses.
As he himself expresses.
He being short-lived seeks for eternity.
True and natural the wish is.
Only dying can love the one undying.
Love for anything brings a fantasy,
so the fantasy of eternal soul.
For him who is per se mortal.
Who knows?
If mortal can hold immortal.
But body, mortal, houses the soul immortal.
An unbelievable charisma,
though man believes, nay, confirmed unto himself,
not needing proof for that
he says and it is.
Proof may scatter him with his soul,
immortal in the mortal campus.
