Blood Poem by Raven Bonner

Blood

Does my heart not beat
Do my eyes not shed tears
Does my mind not whirl with the complexities of life
The mysteries of love
The perplexity of that which is or is not

Do not I bleed when my flesh is pierced
Does not mine blood run red

I see your hearts' desire
Know your souls' one weakness
Hold your life above mine own
I have and would again bleed for you

Would you do so for me?
