Bleeding Wounds Poem by MarieLove Brevil

Bleeding Wounds

After all the bruises left behind
From all those nasty words
After all the scars left behind
From all the cold acts
How can I ever be naive again?
How can I ever be so fical with people?

Throughout it all I’ve learned
I’ve learned to be more cautious
Than simply acting foolish
I’ve learned to be my own best friend
Than to put my trust in failing men
I’ve learned to reflect before I speculate
So my choices and words may be wise.

After all the wounds and deep cuts
In the wounds, I feel like
I’m going to make it anyway!
