MarieLove Brevil Poems

It’s like I was dying
I was seeing my life flashing
Right in front of my bare
And naked beautiful eyes.
...

If our children aren’t smiling
Laughing, playing, driving us insane
Than something must be wrong in our doing
These days, they’re scared and
...

Dear God, Jesus, My Lord
Holy Ghost, Father I pray You
Please give me strength
So I can have the power to continue,
...

How sweet it is; a mother’s touch…
One that comforts you when you’re sad
The one that knows the various
Colors of our days.
...

I don’t want to be brutal
I don’t want to be rude
But what I have to say today is
Nothing but soul food
...

I kiss your beautiful feet
My Nubian Queen
I kiss them for respect and love
You are the goddess in my world
...

So aroused of so much emotions.
So overwhelmed of the unexpected…
I can no longer predict my reactions
But I never forget who I am.
...

No need for my heart to be broken
No need for my face to be sad
So Lord, please hold me tight.
...

To you I would bring the twelve gifts
Of Christmas at anytime
For me it’s like there’s only one year,
One month, one week, one second.
...

I figure out I’m going to be
One of the great ones.
For what I’m going through isn’t just.
Lately I’m getting the type of treatment
...

After all the bruises left behind
From all those nasty words
After all the scars left behind
From all the cold acts
...

Lord, here were are standing in the gap for You
We stand where no one wants to be
We are grateful! We are thankful!
For we know who You are
...

It’s obvious, it’s so obvious
That you meant to hurt me
Throughout your little games and childish play
Your doggish thoughts and acts
...

Wololoy! What am I to do? What am I to say?
Men yo vle di m ke peyi m nan pa bon tout bon vre

Domaj pou yo, sa w pa konnen pi gran pase w
...

Besides God
For God is first in all

Education is the key
...

Young people know your story
Your life, your values, your enemy

Don’t sit around, talk about endless bills
...

Somebody killed my brother
And they’re staring at me, living next to me
There’s nothing I can do about it
...

It is in His Words that He says
His compassion last forever

Forgive me if I won’t give up
...

I knew when I saw you that
Nothing was truly different nor the same
But for some reason that night
You wanted me too and that
...

In the pursuit of happiness
How do we have to fight?
In the pursuit of forgiveness
When will we see the light?

MarieLove Brevil Biography

First question, if not second, readers usually asked is; “Where do you get your name from? ” Or when they would introduce themselves people would ask “Is it your real name? ” So that’s when she would reply nonchalantly “MarieLove is the poetic name that I have created for myself, it’s my comfort zone.” Ms. Brévil wishes are to submerge her readers into her universe where they, too at their turn, get to be as comfortable as to create their own world. Broken Hopeless Heart

It’s like I was dying
I was seeing my life flashing
Right in front of my bare
And naked beautiful eyes.
I felt like that was it for me
It felt like life was so over
My head was pounding with a headache
And my brain was aching from all.
How can I bring myself back to life?
How can I wake up from
This pure reality, that
Keeps me hypnotized involuntarily
For me to wake up is like
Raising from the dead
Yes I need an event like Easter
Just so I can wake up for good
Waking up once for all
So I can get away from
The rough memories that keeps me sad
It’s like I was dying or something
The way I saw life flashing me
Down.
(flashing ahead of me)
