Blank Space Poem by William Marr

Blank Space

1

turn the TVs the radios the computers and the cell phones off
let the overloaded ears eyes and hearts
breathe a sigh of relief
and give the smothered day
some breathing room

2

turning off the TV
no more screaming bullets
no more yelling campaign speeches
no more bloody red pale green gloomy blue murky black
only the snowfield outside the window shines
with its sunny white
