Sitting out on the balcony
hoping for something
to keep me going
and the sun is falling
and all I have done all day is read
But now with night creeping over the hills
I use my last bit of sunlight
Staring out on this balcony

And now I'm watching you
blackbird
Perched up on the chimney
You've been standing there
all afternoon it seems
You're fellow bird mates
have long left you
But you stay
And continue to fix your feathers

I long for you bird
I long to be you
Alone
Dispondent from everything

You know nothing
And i want to forget
