Black Hole Poem by Alexander Thomas

Black Hole

Rating: 5.0

Towards the event horizon falling,
I thought I heard you calling,
Not even light can escape,
The curving mystery of this shape.

Spinning out of control,
No salvation for the soul,
On this cross we bear whipped,
To the core of our being ripped.

Torn limb from limb,
The light becomes forever dim,
All things break apart,
In the black hole of the heart.

All the soul's stones scattered,
All the heart's tears spattered,
All the mind's illusions shattered,
All your life around you clattered.

On to the point of no return,
At it we absolutely burn,
Time turns inverted,
The flow diverted.

All the spirit's light scattered,
All love's colours spattered,
All reasoned thought shattered,
All your future around you clattered.

And from total destruction,
Come the elements of reconstruction,
On the other side we reassemble,
What once we were never to again resemble.

Born again of pure light,
From the darkest furnace of the night,
Forged from heaven's fires,
From the deepest of subconscious desires.

An old reflection disappearing,
In its place a new image appearing,
I walked through the looking glass,
Beyond the point which any mortal could pass,
I am love.
