Black - Capped Kingfisher Poem by Rich Harney

Black - Capped Kingfisher

Black - capped Kingfisher
Tomorrow of beak!
East little fellow,
Bold purple streak.

Shansi to Java,
Burma, Kansu,
Cackle in
Ki ki ki ki ki
Can do!

Whirring of wing
Plumage is plucked
Sad moments dire-ling
Kingfisher Luck

Royal Regalia
Chase royal eyes
"I'm not a wind
But a lover that flies"!

A fascinating poem. I love birds, and would love to see this one. You could actually attach a picture to your poem; did you know that? In any case, I enjoyed the poem. Welcome to Poem Hunter!
