Bittersweet Death Poem by Hannah Berry

Bittersweet Death

I watch with a forced smile on my face
As the blood slowly flows from your body
But your not even dead yet

I am angry with myself
I had tried to keep it a secret
Even now they are watching
Why did it have to end like this?

I turn away trying to convice myself I like it
Trying to cover up my true feelings
The beast inside of me tells me to finish it
I try to reject it

But even now I can feel it controlling me
Step by step
You are closer to death
In the end I strike
But it dosen't end with a scream

No, your last word killed me inside
This bittersweet death that I am watching
Ended with one killing word
Why?
