Cage Poem by Hannah Berry

Cage

You attack me everyday

Wanting more, you take more

Regardless to the fact that I hate it

This place feels like a cage

I'll escape you one day

I swear it

I feel like a replacement

A substitute for your fearful love

This never happened before

Why now?

I guess I'll never know

More and more days pass

And then one day you disappear

You left me

I thought I didnt want this, want you

You said you like loved me in the note you left

I want to find you

Despite the monster you think you are

Blessings have long been distant

And the cage was closed once again

As the two kept captive by it wished
