Bitterness Comes Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Bitterness Comes

One lie,
Can lead...
From one to another and breathe.
And that lie,
To tell...
Is seldom not believed,
By those who want to keep it told.

Lives to live,
Are often ruined by lies.
And those who tell them with them told,
Are the ones unknowing they've sold their souls.

But a bitterness comes to make a visit,
And sits...
With the one who tries to heal.
A bitterness comes to make a visit and sits.

One lie,
Can lead...
From one to another and breathe.
And that lie,
To tell...
Is seldom not believed,
By those who want to keep it told.

But a bitterness comes to make a visit,
And sits...
With the one who tries to heal.
A bitterness comes to make a visit and sits.

A bitterness comes to make a visit,
And sits...
As a mending slowly heals.
A bitterness comes to make a visit and sits.
A bitterness comes to make a visit,
Until time makes it quit.
