Bethany's Wedding! Poem by Denis Martindale

When Bethany agreed to wed,
Great plans, of course, began,
In hopes of all that was ahead
To bless her and her man.
With sunshine almost everywhere,
This one tree gave its shade,
That precious hour in God's care,
Thanks to the prayers they prayed.
She gave her vows, and he gave his,
Unique as they should be,
And then came that momentous kiss
That everyone could see.
With smiles surrounding, there and then,
To celebrate such love,
In truth, beyond this realm of men,
Lord Jesus smiled above.
