Best Years Of My Life Poem by Francis Duggan

Best Years Of My Life

The best years of my life in the forever gone
And the clock on my life ever ticking on
I only wish to grow old as a better man
For what time i have left this is my only plan
For the making of a better World we all have a part to play
If you can help someone who needs your help in some way
Then you are making the World better to live in
The power to do good it does come from within
What we do to others to our own selves we do
This applies to everyone and everyone includes me and you
No good deed done is ever too small
The power to do good it is in us all
To receive in life we must learn how to give
And as a better person i only wish to live.
