Bell In The Distance
Bell that rings
In the distance
Beyond dusk:
Into night
You
Began at vesper
Ringing
How it be that
In the dusk
And then in night
Your continued
Distant ringing?
And the eerie bats
Are
Flying
And
The wise stars are
Peeping
And
The nightingales be
Singing
And
The owls wisdom be
Speaking
And
The night things usher
Out
And
The dawn's so far away!
