Being What You Are Poem by gershon hepner

Being What You Are

Being what you are is always tricky,
but being what you’re not can liberate,
for it provides a chance to be less picky
than siblings, and become a sybarite
by writing in your books of longing
expressions of the ways you can fulfill
yourself when blue-alerted, wronging
the side your superego tries to kill.

Hey Gershy, did you know our Prince Charlie was a fan of Mr Cohen's? Neat poem, Gersh, but I'm still waiting for my suggestive piece. Love, Gina PS: yes, I'm through with grimacing.
