Beginning A New Year Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Awake, the whole world is beginning once again in a New
Year, happy and looking forward to a better year in many
ways, hopefully.

Having made resolutions people were determinedto keep,
a last time doing what they had said, thinking practice
would give them time and concentration in order to do so.

Looking around, smiling at the world, hearts holding com-
passion and kindness for everyone, turning lives around,
at least hopefully.
