Began In Babylon Poem by Ima Ryma

Urbanization did begin
In the city of Babylon,
Way, way back in B.C. time when
Most humans depended upon
Living directly off the land,
Which did have lots of pain and strife.
So some got together and planned
Living better in city life.
Since ugly mud was used to build
The buildings, city founders made
Hanging Gardens artfully skilled
To help assure the dwellers stayed.

The Hanging Gardens, a delight,
To hide some of the urban blight.
