Before God Poem by Randy McClave

Before God

Before God we will all stand
Then we will bow before his mighty hand,
We will be in the presence of the lord
Which from his mouth, came a mighty sword.
I wonder how many will plead their case
On how then their sins God should erase,
And how they will proclaim their many great deeds
But, leading others to Jesus there was no seeds.
How many will deny seeking the Lord was their search
How many didn't seek him in a church,
And how many didn't read the Bible or say a prayer
As showing to others through their acts that God was there.
They will say how they cared for others as Jesus did
Proclaiming their ways as appeasement as Jesus done, may God forbid,
But, then they didn't do what Jesus had told them to do
They weren't wanting to care for others like me and you.
How many did commit sins and libel
Because, they refused to read about it in the Bible,
And how many found both shock and fright
When they found out that Jesus wasn't white.
How many had refused fellowship with others
Even though Jesus said we should with all our brothers,
And how many times they refused to even give tithes
Which helps the Church and many other lives.
When they plead their case unto our Lord God
God will already know that they are a fraud,
Then many will then say, "Lord you I have truly sought"
Then God will say, "I knew you not".
