Been A While
A few months,
I must say.
Since I last
Picked up my pen.
A lot of those
Who know me
Ask
'Where have you been? '
Good question,
I should
Ask myself
The same.
What happened
To that dream.
Of making known
My name.
Have I lost
That fire,
That passion
I once held?
Now,
Time is my foe
And it will
Only tell.
It has
truly been a while
I am
Ashamed to say.
But poetry
will be the thing
I focus on
Today.
