Because I was born
with my eyes and my nose
with my fingers and toes
the ability to grow.

Because I was born
with the meaningful parts-
happiness, sadness, anger, love
emotion encased in my heart.

Because I was born
with my ears and my mouth
my lungs and my soul
I sing out, must sing out!

Because I was born to laugh
and to cry
to feel this peace when I sing
God's blessings to me,
have been kind.

I will see with my eyes
smell with my nose
write with my fingers
dance on my toes
I will hear with my ears
define with my mouth
breath out from my lungs, my soul
and sing out, I'll sing out!

God's blessings to me,
have been kind
because I was born
and He asked me, to shine.
