Beach Moments Poem by Dee Corpolongo

Beach Moments

Rating: 5.0

Whenever I go to the beach
I can hear the waves come ashore
I feel the sun upon my skin
All these things I do adore

I see the calmness of the sand
I taste the salty air all around
I watch the birds all flying high
and hear the oceans roaring sound

I lay down and I wonder
why the suns rays feel so good
and then jumping in the water
I'd do this everyday if I could

As we walk along the shoreline
picking up seashells as we go
I feel so refreshed and like a child
getting excited from head to toe

The ocean goes on so wide and far
and it seems to have no end
and the sand beneath my toes
gives me an idea of 'lets pretend'

That we are all just like a seashell
or even a single grain of sand
and we could be washed away
or live together on this land.

Because life is really an illusion
and we see things as we may
The beach is just one reminder
of us enjoying another day

Wow, amen. The last stanza is truth to the fullest, beautiful! May we all see life in such a way that brings a smile, at least at times.

Wonderful Words Dee, the beach is my favourite place too. It truly has healing powers. I felt peace just reading these words. Thank you

It is a pleasant experience to be on the beach side! Yes, once again we become children and the lashing waves and the foamy curves make us suddenly excited and we jump into the rushing waves! The poem concludes with a philosophical thought that each one's existence on Earth is as insignificant as a grain of sand! ! Enjoyed! ! Wish you Dee a wonderful New Year! !
