Badu Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Badu

Badu

Floating in between I can see
It is wild, is unjust, cruelty

But also let's confess
All the walls and brains fall or burst
When the bomb leaves plane, hits a place

The burning is ugly; regardless
Of being enemy, kin or guest
We hear such news by ISIS
Once I heard of Afghan to his guests

The plane does nothing; triggers the pilot
He crashed, was captured by injured
Now pilot, I am told, 'Burned in flames'

Every side that I look I see shame
Modernized kills with guns and plane
Different seems Badu; beheading in desert

I want out; if this is the mankind
Of being human I'm ashamed.
