“bad Everything Day” Poem by monica halim

“bad Everything Day”

So the day began
Sally woke up with worms in her hair
She ran to the bathroom screaming
As if she was running from a bear
Sadly the mom forget to pay the water bill
So the hot water was off and she was shivering in the cold
She got out of the bath
Wanting a cup of coffee
So it didn't taste good
Instead she got a cup of coffee
Her little dog came in the kitchen
As she was bending he peed on her shoes
Aggravated she was she runs upstairs
But because of her anger she misses a step
She lands on her back screaming in pain
Her parents were working
And she was on the floor in pain
Little by little she gets up
She walks in the supply closet to get a broom
But she walks into a spider web
She screams bloody Mary
And she was cleaning her shirt
The door behind her closes shut
She turns to open but it was shut
And it was locked
She didn't have a phone
She didn't have a key
The closet walls are small
And it's very hot
She reaches up her hair to find any help
And if god answered her prayers she found a bobby pin
Yelling out in cheer she goes and tries to unlock it
But sadly the was weak so it breaks in half
She knew she was done
There was nothing to do
But sit and wait
Suddenly she feels the house shaking
And a loud crash can be heard
From downstairs
She doesn't take it anymore
She had enough
She runs into the door with all her might
Breaking her arm at it was totally worth
Screaming in pain
She runs down the stairs
Slipping on a banana peel
Landing on her back
Her back and arm aching in pain
Somehow she tries and she gets up
To see her once living room
A car was placed in the middle of the room
With two walls on top of it
Glass was everywhere
And the driver was dead
She sat on the floor slightly amazed
How else can her day get worst?
