“what’s High School? ”

Everyone goes through this
Years and years
Some might miss it
Some, well not so much
It will be the times to make new friends
Or say goodbye to the old ones
If you’re wondering what I am talking about
Let me make it clearer
It’s the place where you’re popular or cool
Or a nerd or a fool
You have your first times
Or even your first crimes
The first chance
The first dance
Maybe the first kiss
This is just the beginning
Yet there is always and ending
We have our times of pain
We have our times of fame
Each stage with its duty
With its fun and chaos
The teacher that we love
And the one we will always despise
My favorite of them all is the food
Or I prefer to call it mystery meat
Its isn’t really a mystery if you think about it
Each year confusing than the one before
With all these rules and regulations
This year no hespa
And there is a PARCC
I mean seriously who do you think will pass it?
You treat an 18 year old same as a 15 year old
Teachers say they care but they don’t
You make a simple mistake
Yet the consequences aren’t that simple
And as the years continue
You need to take it more serious they say
Colleges coming
And the better grades you have
The better chances you get
As we grow not all of us might know what we want
And some who think differently than another
Those who wing it
And those who have their eye on the price
And lastly I will say it
Those years you go through
Don’t let it go
There is something that you might not know
You better take your chance and then you better let go.
