Bad Day Poem by Eden Sheffroth

Bad Day

Here I am once again
Shot down, burned
Sitting here trying to pretend
That I'm not hurt

But I am
I'm hurting, screaming in pain
With my fake smile on wobbly legs trying to stand
I don't want to feel this again

Rain is screaming at the the window
For once the weather reflects my mood
I'm alone no one wants to know
My thoughts on this mangled, deformed love

Listening to Elton John
With tears burning in my eyes
He sings of love thats come and gone
While I cry about the friend who left me behind

I hate you
With all the gales of this tortured storm
Blood pours from my heart like dew
You've finally knocked me down, I'm torn
