Backpack Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Backpack

Backpack

Once
-halfway to crest
-or the peak
-chose to sit…

In backpack
-had gathered
-collected
-seashells and
-rolling stones
-and fossils…

Opened bags
-stretched my findings
-became a scientist…

Avoided the nonsense
-rejected the insane.

In each saw beauty
-miracle of being…

"Years of time
-has turned all
-upside down
-heights turned seas
-oceans…peaks…"

Question ran down spine:
- "When will I be which one? "
