Back To Reminisce The Need Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Back To Reminisce The Need

Relieved to be released.
From the feeling of guilt.
Once one who had been consumed by it.
Now proud to return back to basics.

The feeling of this,
Has to be as refreshing for one...
Who skinny dips.
In crystal clear water.
And wades through it.
Under warm breezes.
To know the air is free of pollution.
This is freedom.
Without the trappings,
To imitate a life trying to impress...
Others.
Who are depressed and stressed out,
By overflowing hidden debts.
And live daily upset inside a home,
Moaning about the worth of it...
Being far less.
Than a hopeful equity to now forget.
Under water is the order of these days,
For them.
Or,
Lies to tell to oneself.
About how great it is,
To have the independentcy...
To be burdened everyday being reminded,
By understanding creditors.
Calling.
With a friendly reminder.
That what is owed to them,
Has long past their due dates.
But they too,
Are holding their heads up...
While swimming through the process.
And how they also wish,
They can get up and walk away...
To return back to the basics.
Wished and missed to reminisce the need.
