Azrael Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Azrael

Azrael

Tonight, I saw something
-that led me to be with
-sufferers of Auschwitz

I too must go seek
-mass of guns
-we must kill
-male-Nazis

Slogan I carry
-is large in its writing
-bold letters:
"Males only! "
"Spare them;
-if women! ! ! "

Amber was a skunk
-her dress was black
-contrast was skin
-and shined white
-pristine blue lakes
-she had two for her eyes
-spread on her head
-a farm of golden wheat
-dancing in the breeze
-ready for the sickle
-and brush of fingers

With this wealth
-amber turned me amber
-I became Hallaj and bloodless…
-but my face was reddened…

Had to use my smile
-lead her to heartthrob
-let her see hidden love
-she could be whoever
-an angel…Gabriela
-or defamed Azrael
