Axis Of Life Poem by Arno Le Roux

Axis Of Life

'Axis Of Life'

T'was counted how much we can bear
T'was counted with whom we share
Divided in light and some in the dark
Divided precisely each with a mark

They hurl towards us a tireless chime
They heed not even Princes decline
Divided in light and some in the dark
Divided precisely each with a mark

From cradle days before we them count
To graver days as we unmount
Divided in light and some in the dark
Divided precisely each with a mark

We cannot use more although we beg
We cannot use less we pray as we take
Divided in light and some in the dark
Divided precisely each with a mark

There is no way to remain in the past
Save the marks of dear friends to cast
Divided in light and some in the dark
Divided precisely each with a mark

There is no way the future to feel
But wait as marks hurl it real
Divided in light and some in the dark
Divided precisely each with a mark

A present unwrapped is for your care
Choose wise who warrants your share
Divided in light and some in the dark
Divided precisely each with a mark
