You have more invested in it than I do...
And you claim not to have time,
To walk 'your' child across the street...
To go to school?
And I've missed my bus,
Doing something you should do?
And you accuse 'me' of not being involved?

Dear Lord,
I know I promised you I would stay patient.
But is there something else You can do,
To awaken me from this nightmare?
Please, Lord...
Keep this child from hearing my deepest thoughts.
